Work one-on-one with Sunrise founder Valerie Kiser, E-RYT 500, certified yoga therapist (C-IAYT) since 2007 and co-founder of East Coast Yoga Therapy, among the first 30 yoga therapy programs worldwide to be accredited.
Valerie’s clients have found that yoga therapy is an important self-care option for conditions like IBS, anxiety, cerebral palsy, low back pain, depression, pelvic floor pain and fibromyalgia, using yogic principles of movement, alignment, breathing, meditation, conscious relaxation and more.

Enjoy an hour of guided relaxation in what is known as “yogic sleep.” Nidra brings us to a state of deep relaxation, where our senses, intellect, and mind can completely let go and rest. One hour of this yogic sleep is said to give the same benefit as four hours of sleep. Nidra helps decrease fatigue, rejuvenate the brain, reduce stress, increase concentration, and improve memory. Experience a spiritual awakening while enhancing overall energy. Taught by iRest certified teachers.
Our bodies have an innate ability to relax given the right circumstances. Restorative yoga uses a series of easy, supported poses held for a long time under the right conditions (including the use of many props) to tip the balance from “fight or flight” mode into maximal relaxation. Yogis developed these poses over many years, but science tells us that, under the conditions set in restorative yoga, immediate effects on heart rate, blood pressure and brain activity are possible. Emphasis on complete muscular relaxation and comfort are emphasized to achieve a quiet state of mind and body. The classes are in the style of Relax & Renew author, Judith Lasater.

MELT helps to rehydrate this essential system in your body for vibrant health and pain-free movement! We will use the MELT Method Hand & Foot Therapy Balls and the Soft Foam Roller.

Perfect if you’re brand new to yoga or want to get back to basics if you haven’t practiced yoga in many years. Emphasizes poses that align, strengthen, and promote flexibility. Includes breathing techniques and meditation. Emphasizes student understanding, safety, and stability within each pose.
